Prime Product Manufacturing specialises in the development and manufacturing of Suncare (Tropitone and Everysun), Skincare (Like Silk, Gallia, Annique, Aspen, Sh&rsquozen), Lipcare (Lip-Ice), Bodycare (Annique), Haircare (Vigro), Footcare, Fragrance/Perfume (Annique), Suncare (P.I Products, Johnson & Johnson). Our R&D team works to improve existing products as well as to develop new products and ranges. In addition to reviewing raw materials & product creation, new product development is supported through continual market, competitor and trend evaluation and analysis, ensuring that the product presentation is comprehensive, researched, informative and valuable to our customers.

As members of CTFA (Cosmetic & Toiletry Association of South Africa) and Coschem (Society of Cosmetic Chemists), we have access to a wealth of information, both locally and internationally and make use of their advisory capacity. We follow strict quality control procedures internally, with all product & ingredient testing is done through SABS (South African Bureau of Standards).
  
The future plan of Prime Product Manufacturing is to ensure our continued support and development in existing fields of expertise, but also to expand into new areas, through growth of capacity, customer and technical know-how.

Prime Product Manufacturing is a South African owned and Managed entity, with dedicated, highly qualified staff and management in product development, manufacturing, production, research and development, quality control and engineering fields of expertise.

Prime Product Manufacturing is one of South Africa's leading contract manufacturing and packaging businesses with a clear focus on the personal care, cosmetics, toiletries, and fragrances.  Prime is viewed in the industry as an organization with integrity, passion and dynamic creativity built upon a business model that highlights quality, value, research and development and total customer care.  The success story started in 1997 when two of the current directors, Mr. Mike Rigby and Mr. Koos Basson decided to realize their dream of creating the most respected contract manufacturing company in southern Africa.  They were joined later that year by Sonja Steyn.  As with most start-up operations, the early days were not easy and it was only the passion, dedication and tenacity of the people involved that kept the business on track. 

Today, the picture is very different and Prime has grown into a highly-successful business that employs over 300 people at its 13 000m2 factory situated on the NECSA Eco-Industrial site in Pelindaba, some 35km west of Pretoria.  Manufacturing and filling facilities are both comprehensive and impressive, with the flexibility to manufacture a wide variety of liquids, gels, creams, lotions and powders in batch sizes from 50kg to 7000kg.  These products can then be further processed on one or more of the 16 filling lines available, which can handle almost any packaging format imaginable.  A dedicated line is also on hand for the filling of aerosol containers.

From senior management right down to production staff on the factory floor, the belief of all at Prime is to be wholly involved in the process to ensure the best solutions for its customers.  After all, the culture of any organization is ultimately determined by the people who work in it, and recognizing the importance of people has been a key focus for the company since its inception.  It is important for the company not only to have the right people on the bus but especially in the right seats on the bus.  It is for this reason that Prime has been particularly selective about the staff members that it employs and their continuous education process.  Building upon the founder members' own principles of fairness, openness, integrity and trust, discipline, dedication and commitment those joining Prime's workforce are selected with these values in mind.  We are also convinced that: "None of us is as smart as all of us" and put a very high value on teamwork and teambuilding to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
